Project payroll allocation (actual vs. budget) report (ProjPayrollProj2Column) [AX 2012]

Use this report to analyze payroll allocations to projects by comparing actual and budgeted values for a specified date range.

When you generate this report, the following default parameters are displayed. You can use these parameters to filter the data that will be displayed on the report. For more information, see Filter the data on a report.

Field

Description

Include project types

Select the types of projects that you want to include on the report. You must select at least one project type.

(Project date)

From date / Break date / To date

Specify a starting date and an ending date to include worker payroll costs that are posted to projects for the specific date range.

NoteNote

When you select Sum in the Actual vs. budget field, the break date that you enter determines when the calculation of actual values ends and the calculation of budgeted values starts.

(Ledger date)

From date / Break date / To date

Specify a starting date and an ending date to include worker payroll costs that are posted to the ledger for the specific date range.

Actual vs. budget

Select Deviation to display the budget amounts subtracted from the actual amounts on the report.

Select Sum to display budgeted amounts added to actual amounts on the report.

Forecast model

Select the forecast model that you want the report to use.

If you are using project budget control, select the budget forecast model that is used by this project.

Project view

Select how you want to display the first column of the report.

Project level

Specify the number of subproject levels:

  • Select 0 to display all projects that are summarized on one line.

  • Select 1 to display only parent projects.

  • Select 2 to display subprojects.

NoteNote

The subprojects below the parent project level are summarized on one line, and an asterisk (*) indicates that the summarized number includes subprojects below the first subproject level.

Skip zero

Select whether to exclude rows where the amounts are equal to zero.

Show amount

Select how you want decimals to appear on the report from the following options:

  • With decimals – Amounts are displayed to two decimals of your company currency.

  • Without decimals – Amounts are rounded to integers.

  • Amount in 1,000 – Amounts are rounded to the nearest 1,000 units of your company currency.

  • Amount in 1,000,000 – Amounts are rounded to the nearest million units of your company currency.

Show hour

Select whether to display the quantity of hours, the cost value for hours posted to a project, or both on the report.

Project

Click Select. In the Project payroll allocation (actual vs. budget) form, in the Criteria field, select a project to include on the report. To add more than one project, click Add.

Click Project management and accounting > Reports > Payroll allocation > Payroll allocation (actual vs. budget) > Project payroll allocation (actual vs. budget).

  • ProjListProjPayrollTmp table

  • ProjTable

If you are a developer, you can learn more about where the data on a report comes from by using the following procedure.

  1. Open the AOT.

  2. Locate the report in the SSRS Reports\Reports node.

  3. Right-click the report and click Add-Ins > Cross-reference > Using (instant view).
