Convert a proposal to a project

Use this procedure to convert a proposal in Project Web Access into a project. After a proposal has been reviewed and submitted back to the proposal creator, the proposal creator can analyze the feedback and chose to make the proposal into a project.
Once a proposal is converted to a project, it can be viewed by the entire organization through the Project Center in Project Web Access, and it no longer is listed on the Proposals and Activities page.
Before you perform this procedure, confirm that:
You have read Work with proposals in Project Server 2007.
Important
Membership in the Proposal Reviewers security group in Project Server, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.
To convert a proposal to a project
Perform the following procedure to covert a proposal to a project in Microsoft Office Project Server 2007.
Convert a proposal to a project
On the Project Web Access Home page, in the Quick Launch, click Proposals and Activities.
On the Proposals and Activities page, in the row of the project that you want to convert, click the Draft Project icon to select it.
On the toolbar, click Convert.
A Windows Internet Explorer message box appears, stating that once the proposal has been converted to a project, users can view it by using the Project Web Access Project Center or by using Project Professional 2007.
Click OK.
