Active Directory directory service, which is part of the Active Platform, is a Microsoft technology that is designed to enable applications to find, use, and manage directory resources (for example, user names, network printers, and permissions) in a distributed computing environment. The following table lists the events related to Active Directory in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.
