Ledger allocation rule source (form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Click General ledger > Setup > Posting > Ledger allocation rule. Click New to create a ledger allocation rule, or select a rule to modify. Click Source.
Use this form to define the source of the data to be allocated. For information about allocation rules, see About allocation rules.

If you selected Financial dimension in the Field setting field, select the name of the financial dimension. |
Source criteria |
Enter the main account or financial dimension information to allocate from. You can enter wildcard characters to specify all main accounts or financial dimensions, or a specified range or list of them. You can also enter BLANK for financial dimension values. Example You want to allocate a utility expense, such as the telephone and fax expense. The chart of accounts is set up so that a main account that starts with 61 defines the main account as a utility expense. You could define the source criteria in one of the following ways.
If you select the Department financial dimension and enter source criteria of Admin,””, information that includes the Admin dimension value or a blank dimension value for the Department financial dimension is displayed. |
