Office SharePoint Server 2007 language packs allow for SharePoint sites and site collections to be created in languages other than English. Language packs are installed on Office SharePoint Server front-end Web servers before you run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard.

Following language are supported in the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 environment:

  • Brazilian

  • Chinese Simple

  • Chinese Traditional

  • Czech

  • English

  • French

  • German

  • Hebrew

  • Italian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Polish

  • Russian

  • Spanish

  • Thai

Once a language pack is installed, a language drop-down box is presented on the site collection and site creation screens that lets the user choose the language that the site should support.
