Vendor search criteria (form)

Click Procurement and sourcing > Inquiries > Vendors > Vendor search.

Use this form to select the criteria to search for a vendor or group of vendors. Each search criterion that you select is combined. For example, if you select a city and a category, the results contain only vendors in the selected city and category.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tabs

Tab	Description
Common criteria	Select search criteria that is common to all vendors, such as name, location and diversity classification.
Vendor specific criteria	Select search criteria for approved vendors, such as vendor status.
Advanced search query	View and modify the search expression that represents your search criteria.
Search results summary	The number of vendors in your search results based on your search criteria.

Buttons

Button	Description
Plus sign	Add or remove search criteria.
Update	Click to update the selections in the tabs after you change the search expression.
Refresh link	Update the Search results summary as you modify the search criteria.

Fields

Field	Description
Current vendors	Select to search the approved vendor list.
Prospective vendors	Select to search the prospective vendor list.
Unsolicited vendors	Select to search the unsolicited vendor list.
Employees that are vendors	Select to include employees in the search.
All legal entities	Search for a vendor throughout your organization.
Name contains	Enter part of a specific vendor name.
Minority owned	Select if you want to include minority-owned vendors: Ignore – Include all vendors regardless of ownership. No – Do not include minority-owned vendors. Yes – Include only minority-owned vendors in the search.
Female owned	Select if you want to include vendors owned by women. The choices are the same as for minority-owned vendors.
Small business	Select if you want to include vendors that meet your guidelines for being a small business. The choices are the same as for minority-owned vendors.
Locally owned	Select if you want to include only locally owned vendors. The choices are the same as for minority-owned vendors.
Vendor evaluation criterion group	Select the vendor evaluation criterion groups to include in your search. If you do not make a selection, all criterion groups are included in your search.
Vendor evaluation criteria	Select the vendor rating criteria to include in your search. If you do not make a selection, all criteria are included in your search.
Vendor group	Select specific vendor groups to include in your search. If you do not make a selection, all vendor groups are included in your search.
Vendor hold	Specify whether to include vendors on hold: No – The vendor has no holds. Include all vendors, regardless of hold type, in your search. Invoice – No invoices can be created or posted for this vendor. All – The vendor is on hold for all transaction types (payments, purchase requisitions, and invoices). Payment – No payments can be generated for this vendor. Requisition – Only purchase requisitions can be created but no other transactions. Never – The vendor is never put on hold for inactivity.
Category status	Select whether to include the status of vendors in a procurement category: Approved – The vendor is approved for purchases in the category. Preferred – The vendor is preferred for purchases in the category.
Bid only	The vendor can submit quotes and proposals, but your organization has not yet purchased from the vendor.
One-time supplier	Select whether to include only one-time vendors in your search.
Owner is a service veteran	Select whether to include vendors owned by a service veteran in your search.
Owner is disabled	Select whether to include vendors owned by people with disabilities in your search.
Ethnic origin	Select to include only specific ethnic origins in your search.
Enter search expression	View or modify the search expression that represents your search criteria.
