Use this form to create types to identify categories of matching funds.

Many organizations that award grants require that recipients spend a certain amount of their own money or resources to match what is awarded in the grant. This can include “cash” or “total amount” matching, where a specific sum of money is required; “percent” matching, where a percentage of the awarded amount is required; or “in-kind” matching, where a recipient provides goods and services instead of cash.

Example

A school district receives a grant for 100,000 to be used for science programs. The terms of the grant require the district to match the grant with 50,000 from its own budget. The district creates a matching type named “Monetary (Cash) Match – 50%.” When they enter grant information in the Grant details form, they select this grant type in the Matching type field.
