Fields

Field

Description

Adjustment type

Select the type of adjustment to apply to the grid:

  • Percentage – The adjustment amount will be applied as a percentage. For example, if you select three rows and enter a percentage adjustment of 5, each of the values in the three rows increases five percent (a value of 1000 will increase to 1050).

  • Flat amount – The adjustment amount will be applied as currency. For example, if you select a column in the grid and enter a flat amount adjustment of 5, each of the values in the column increases by five (a value of 1000 will increase to 1005).

Caution

Field value changes for a specific cell are not cumulative. The calculations are always based on the original cell value that is displayed when you open the form. To achieve a cumulative change, you can make a change, close the form, reopen the form, and then make another change. However, if a change does not affect the same cell, you can make the change without closing and reopening the form. For example, you can apply a three percent adjustment to the first three grid rows and then apply a four percent adjustment to the last row. Because the changes affected different rows, you can save the changes at the same time.

Adjustment amount

The amount of the adjustment. This calculation depends on the Adjustment type that is selected.

Tip

You can enter a negative adjustment amount to decrease the values in the grid.

Reference point

To adjust only one column in the grid, select the ID of the column to adjust. The description is displayed next to the selection so that you can verify that the information is correct before you apply the adjustment to the column.

To remove the field value, highlight the value and then press the Backspace or Delete key and then move the pointer off the field.

Note

If you do not enter a value, the adjustment amount will be applied to all of the columns in the grid.
