Reverse empty handling unit (form)

Click Production control > Setup > Lean manufacturing > Kanban rules. Select a kanban rule. On the Kanbans FastTab, click Filter. Select the Show empty check box to display all kanbans, including kanbans that reference empty handling units, and then click OK. Select a kanban that references a handling unit that has a status of Empty, and then click Details. On the Setup tab, click Manage, and then select Reverse empty handling unit.

Use this form to change the status of a handling unit that has been emptied. You can change the status from Empty to Received. This functionality might be useful if you incorrectly register the status as Empty.

When you reverse the status of a handling unit, the following events occur:

  • The status of the handling unit changes from Empty to Received.

  • The transactions for consumption, from locations that have a Kanban supermarket type, are reversed.

  • For kanbans that are generated for a fixed quantity kanban rule, a kanban that is not valid can be deleted.

  • If circulating cards are used, the connection between a kanban and a kanban card is re-established.

Emptied date

The date and time when the handling unit was emptied.

Kanban card ID

Select the kanban card that will be assigned to the kanban after the status of the handling unit is reversed. When single-use kanbans are used, this field value cannot be modified.

Assigned kanban

The kanban that the kanban card is currently assigned to, if the kanban card is assigned to a kanban.

Delete invalid kanban

Select this check box to delete the kanban that is no longer valid when the status of the handling unit is reversed and the kanban card is reassigned.

Invalid kanban

Select the kanban that is deleted when the status of the handling unit is reversed and the kanban card is reassigned. This field is available only if the Delete invalid kanban check box is selected.

Reverse status date

The date when the status of the handling unit is reversed.
