A.IEAK 9 is the latest version of the Internet Explorer Administration Kit. It enables users to create a customized browser package that can be installed across an organization. Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) 9 is now available for download.

A.IEAK 9 allows you to customize, brand, and distribute a great browser – Internet Explorer 9. Internet Explorer 9 integrates seamlessly with computers running Windows 7 to bring you the best web experience for Windows. With a cleaner, minimal UI, more pixels are devoted to webpages. Furthermore, developers can use features such as site pinning and jump lists to provide new ways for users to interact with your applications. Finally, we take advantage of the hardware acceleration capabilities built into Windows 7 and Windows Vista to give you a fast browsing experience.

A.You can download IEAK 9 from the Internet Explorer TechCenter.
 
Q.What operating systems are supported?
A.

With this version of this product, you can customize and install IEAK 9 on the following supported operating systems:

  • Windows 7 x86
  • Windows 7 x64
  • Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Windows Vista x86 with at least Service Pack 2 (SP2)
  • Windows Vista x64 with at least SP2
  • Windows Server 2008 x86 with at least SP2
  • Windows Server 2008 x64 with at least SP2
Q.Can I use IEAK 9 to build custom Internet Explorer 9 packages in a language other than the language of the IEAK 9 version I am using?
A.Yes. You can use any language version of IEAK 9 to build custom Internet Explorer 9 packages in any language that Internet Explorer 9 is available in. IEAK 9 is available in 24 languages, but you can build custom packages in 93 languages. On the Language Selection page of the customization wizard, you can choose the language for the custom package. If you do not see the language you want for your custom package, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article KB2555560 for information about accessing additional Internet Explorer 9 languages.
