The Date Format dialog box provides additional date formats that you can apply to columns that have a Date data type. To access this dialog box, the PowerPivot window must be open. You must select a cell that contains a Date value. On Home, in Formatting, click the down arrow by Format, and click More Date Formats. The format you choose will be applied to all values in the column.

  • Format
Provides a visual example of the date format string.

  • Format String
