Menu Commands and Toolbar Shortcut Keys

The following keyboard shortcuts can be used to perform menu commands and choose toolbar buttons in Microsoft Document Explorer.

To

Press

Close Microsoft Document Explorer.

ALT+F4

Switch between Microsoft Document Explorer Help and other open windows.

ALT+TAB

Display the Internet Options dialog box to change Microsoft Internet Explorer settings.

The Internet Options dialog box also contains accessibility settings. To change these settings, select General and TAB to the Accessibility button.

ALT+T, O, W; use the TAB key to select the Internet Explorer options button and then press ENTER.

Hide the Contents, Search, Index, or Help Favorites window.

ALT+W+H

Display the Contents, Index, Search, or Help Favorites window.

CTRL+ALT+F1 (Contents)

CTRL+ALT+F2 (Index)

CTRL+ALT+F3 (Search)

CTRL+ALT+F (Help Favorites)

Increase the font to maximum size in the document window.

ALT+V, Z, G

Print the selected topic.

CTRL + P

Move back to the previous topic.

ALT+LEFT ARROW

Move forward to the next topic (provided you have viewed it just previously).

ALT+RIGHT ARROW

Refresh the topic that appears in the topic pane (this is useful if you have linked to a Web page).

F5

Scroll through a topic.

UP arrow and DOWN arrow, or PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN

Scroll through all the links in a topic or through all the options on a navigation pane tab.
