Die ConnectionManager Eigenschaft enthält oder legt einen Verweis auf die tatsächliche Instanz des IDTSConnectionManager100 Objekts im Paket fest. Zur Laufzeit wird dieser Verweis automatisch vom SSIS-Laufzeitmodul mithilfe der ConnectionManagerID Eigenschaft festgelegt, um die Verbindung im Paket zu suchen und einen Verweis zuzuweisen.

Zur Entwurfszeit führt SSIS Designer diese Zuordnung beim Laden und Initialisieren einer Komponente durch. Beim programmgesteuerten Laden und Bearbeiten einer Komponente muss die Eigenschaft jedoch explizit festgelegt werden, indem das Objektmodell außerhalb des Designers verwendet wird. Komponenten haben nicht die Möglichkeit, explizit mithilfe der ConnectionManagerID Eigenschaft auf die Verbindung zu verweisen, da die Connections Auflistung des Pakets nicht für Komponenten verfügbar gemacht wird.
