On the File Locations page, you can view and change the default installation directories for Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) data (.dit) files and recovery (.log) files.

By default, AD LDS data files and recovery files are installed on the destination computer in the following directory:

\%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft ADAM\ instancename \data

where instancename equals the AD LDS instance name that you specified on the Instance Name page.

By default, AD LDS program files and administration tools are installed in the following directory:

\%windir%\ADAM

Note

If the directory paths that you specify do not already exist, the Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services Setup Wizard creates them for you.
The Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services Setup Wizard does not accept environmental variables in file location paths.
