Log on to Remote Web Access

Applies To: Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials

When you log on to Remote Web Access from a local or remote computer, you can access resources on your Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials server and computers on your network.

To log on to Remote Web Access from a local computer

  1. Open a Web browser, type https://<YourServerName>/remote in the address bar, and then click ENTER.

Note

Make sure that you include the ā€œsā€ in https.

  1. On the Remote Web Access log in page, type your user name and password in the text boxes, and then click the arrow.

Note

If Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials is joined to a domain, you must include the domain name with the user name in the format <YourDomainName\UserName>. For example, Contoso\GAkselrod.

To log on to Remote Web Access from a remote computer

  1. Open a Web browser, type https://<YourDomainName>/remote in the address bar, and then click ENTER.
