How to Change the SQL Server Connection Authentication Type for the RFID Store

BizTalk RFID requires SQL Server to store information. During installation, an administrator can configure how the information is accessed and modified by specifying the type of authentication for SQL Server (Windows authentication or SQL Server authentication). However, the authentication type can be changed after installation as required.

  1. Export all processes.

For more information about exporting processes, see How to Import or Export an RFID Process.

  2. Export all devices.

For more information about exporting devices, see How to Export Devices.

  3. Delete all processes.

  4. Delete all devices.

For more information about deleting devices, see How to Delete Devices.

  5. Insert the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009 installation disk into the CD-ROM drive. If the BizTalk Server Setup page does not appear, double-click setup.exe located in the root of the installation CD.

  6. On the BizTalk Server 2009 Installation Wizard page, click Install Microsoft BizTalk RFID on this computer.

  7. On the Database System and RFID Configuration Database Information page:

    • Ensure that the Overwrite contents of Rfid Configuration Database check box is cleared.

    • Choose an authentication type, and provide the appropriate credentials, if required.

Click Next twice, and then click Repair.

  8. Import the processes that were exported in Step 1.

For more information about importing processes, see How to Import or Export an RFID Process.

  9. Re-enter RFID process bindings that are of type secure string.

  10. Import the devices that were exported in Step 2.

For more information about importing devices, see How to Import Devices.

  11. Re-enter device authentication information. For example, provide all device passwords.
