Preparing the Data Warehouse

This topic discusses the third step in the process of importing custom data into the Data Warehouse. For the previous two steps, see Planning a Custom Import Task. In the second step, it was determined that the RegisteredUser class must be extended to encompass line-of-business (LOB) data. Specifically, three new data members are needed: City, State, and Fav_Flavor_Code.

Warning

Extend the existing Data Warehouse schema only if it is required. Any changes that you make to the Data Warehouse are irreversible.

For information about how to add data members to an existing class, see Creating a New Data Member.
