How to Edit Property Metadata

You edit property metadata to add or remove properties. You also edit property metadata to add or remove the languages that your schema will support. Adding languages to the property metadata lets you add display names to your properties in those languages.

To add a property to the property metadata

  1. Click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager.

  2. In the Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager, in the Task pane, click Edit Property Metadata.

  3. On the Edit Property Metadata screen, in the Available Properties section, select the property that you want to add to the property metadata, and then click Add.

  4. To save the property metadata, click Save and close on the toolbar.

To add a language to the property metadata

  1. Click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager.

  2. In the Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager, in the Task pane, click Edit Property Metadata.

  3. On the Edit Property Metadata screen, in the Available Languages section, select the language that you want to add to the property metadata, and then click Add.

  4. To save the property metadata, click Save and close on the toolbar.

To remove a property from the property metadata

  1. Click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager.

  2. In the Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager, in the Task pane, click Edit Catalog Metadata.

  3. On the Edit Catalog Metadata screen, in the Assigned Properties section, select the property that you want to remove from the property metadata, and then click Remove.

  4. To save the property metadata, click Save and close on the toolbar.

To remove a language to the property metadata

  1. Click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager.

  2. In the Catalog and Inventory Schema Manager, in the Task pane, click Edit Property Metadata.

  3. On the Edit Property Metadata screen, in the Assigned Languages section, select the language that you want to remove from the property metadata, and then click Remove.

  4. To save the property metadata, click Save and close on the toolbar.
