Step 3: Viewing the NormUser account

You created the NormUser account from the SupplierAD site using Internet Explorer.

  1. In the Users screen, select NormUser from the Filtered View list and then click open on the toolbar.

    In the Update Profile: 'NormUser' screen, in the General Information section, notice that the Logon name, User password, and Changed by fields are unavailable.

  2. Expand the Account Info section.

    The Organization ID text field is unavailable. However, the Account Status, User catalog set, and Date registered fields are available. If you want to inactivate an account for a period of time without deleting the account, you can change the Account status from "Active Account" to "Inactive Account." However, in this tutorial, do not change the status of this user profile.

  3. Expand the Partner Desk section.

    Notice that Normal User is selected in the Partner service role flags drop-down list. You could change the partner service role from Normal User to Administrator, effectively promoting the role of this user account. Do not make changes to this user profile.

  4. To return to the Users screen, click back on the toolbar.
