Adding Country/Region Codes

You create country/region codes to identify the countries/regions that users enter on your Web site when they register or order a product. Commerce Server provides several default country/region codes.

  • You must add a country/region code to your Commerce Server database before you add the state/province codes for that country/region. If you try to add a state/province code for a country/region you have not yet added to your database, an error message appears.
  • If you need to use a third-party application provided by a delivery service, contact that delivery service so they can supply you with their standard country/region codes before you add country/region codes to your database.
  • After you add a country/region code, your system administrator must unload the Commerce Server application from memory on each Web server for the change to take effect. For more information, see Unloading an Application from Memory.
