Connecting the Business Desk Servers

The following procedure describes how to connect and configure the network adapters on each server running Business Desk during deployment. Each server running Business Desk uses one network adapter.

To connect servers running Business Desk

  1. Connect the network adapter to a hub that is connected to the firewall separating the Web tier from the database tier.

  2. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties of this adapter, enter the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default gateway.

    You must enter an IP address that is on the same subnet as the firewall. You must use the same subnet mask and default gateway for this adapter that you used to configure the network adapter in the firewall.

  3. Repeat steps 1 through 2 for the other server running Business Desk using a different IP address.

Network configuration is complete on the servers running Business Desk.
