Best Practices for Moving the Data Warehouse

Before you move the Data Warehouse, make sure that:

  • The computers to which you are moving the Data Warehouse satisfy the established Commerce Server platform requirements.
  • You have a Commerce Server site installed and functioning properly before the move takes place.
  • You have full access to all of the computers from which and to which you are moving the Data Warehouse (for example, you have full SQL Server access and Administrator privileges on all computers).
  • No sites have tasks scheduled to run on the Data Warehouse you are moving while you are moving it.
