Lesson 5: Targeting Products to Users

Scenario: You want to target special camping discounts and ads to specific users. For example, when you know a user is a woman, you can target an ad for women's outdoor clothing by using site terms.

In this lesson, you will add the site terms male and female. After you have created the site terms, you will set up a user profile to include the site terms so you can later target a camping product advertisement to those site users that match the user profile.

In this lesson, you will perform the following steps:

• Step 1: Creating a site term
• Step 2: Adding a site term to a user profile
• Step 3: Publishing the profile changes on your Web site
