About the Direct Mailer Pipeline

The Commerce Server Direct Mailer program (Dmlrun.exe) uses a pipeline to process the list of recipients. In general, you will use the Direct Mailer pipeline as it is shipped with the product. However, you can add your own or third-party components to extend the features of the pipeline. For more information, see Building Pipeline Components.

Because of the load on a server, installing the Direct Mailer service on a separate server is recommended. For information about running Direct Mailer, see Running Direct Mailer.

• The Direct Mailer pipeline does not support generating a pipeline log file.
