Creating a Site Term Group

You use the Site Terms Editor module to create site term groups, which organize related site terms. For example, if you are creating hobby site terms, you could create a site term group for each category of hobby, such as creative and travel, and within each category group, create a site term for each segment of hobbies for that category. For example, you might create the following site term groups:

Creative hobbies site term group containing the following site terms:

  • Crafts (sewing, doll making, stamping)
  • Art (drawing, painting, sculpture),
  • Drama (acting, producing)
  • Music (classical, jazz, rock)

Travel site term group containing the following site terms:

  • Cruises (Caribbean, European, China, Alaska)
  • Tours (London, Paris, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Washington D.C.)
  • Adventures (river rafting, mountain climbing, bicycle tours)

Site term groups appear in the Site term structure list in the Site Terms Editor screen with a directional arrow to the left of the group name. You click the directional arrow to expand the list of site terms.

You must have access to the Profiles modules to make changes to site terms, profile definitions, and profiles. For information about Business Desk permissions, see About Business Desk Security.
