Authentication error occurs when a new user is added to Active Directory

If you are storing user data in Active Directory, you may receive the following error message when you attempt to add a new user from a remote Business Desk client:

Error: Failed to insert user due to invalid user credentials.

This error occurs if the remote Business Desk client is using the IP address for the Business Desk application, for example, http://172.30.250.91/supplieradbizdesk.

Solution

On the client computer, reinstall the Business Desk client using the computer name instead of the IP address, for example, http://csserver1/supplieradbizdesk.
