Partition
The following table shows the options and functions available in the Partition dialog box.
| Use this | To do this |
| Edit | Click to open LDAP Connection String dialog box if LDAP was selected in the Data Source dialog box.
Click to open Data Link Properties dialog box if OLE DB was selected in the Data Source dialog box. |
| Test | Click to test the connection string. |
| Partition Name | Type a programmatic name for this partition. The partition name can contain 127 alphanumeric characters, and the underscore (_) symbol. The name cannot contain spaces. |
| Default Partition | Select to designate this partition as the default partition. |
| LDAPv3 Binding Credentials: User Name | Type the user name for the LDAP source. |
| LDAPv3 Binding Credentials: Password | Type the password for the LDAP source. |
