System Attributes
The following table shows the options and functions available in the System Attributes dialog box.
| Use this | To do this |
| Parent URL | Type the location in the directory tree where new objects will be created. This is relative to the root. |
| Use the same credentials for all users | Select to force the profile service to use the credentials for this partition for all binds. |
| Allow Simple Bind | Select to force the profile service to send passwords in clear text. |
| Dynamic Container | Select to connect to a dynamic store such as Internet Locator Service (ILS). |
| One-Level | Select this option to perform searches in the directory. |
| Sub-Tree | Select this option to perform subtree searches in the directory. |
| Domain Name | Type the domain name for the Active Directory server. Use the computer name for non-Active Directory sources. |
| Discover | Click to retrieve the domain name for the Active Directory server. |
