Select IIS Web Sites and Virtual Directories

The following table shows the options and functions available in the Select IIS Web Sites and Virtual Directories dialog box. This dialog box is displayed when you use Commerce Server Site Packager to unpack a site.

Use this To do this
Application Select the application on which you want to perform an action.
IIS computer name Type the computer name of the IIS Web server to which you want to unpack the application files.

To update the list of Web sites on the remote computer, click Refresh.

IIS Web site Select an existing IIS Web site, the location of your site on the server.
Refresh Web Sites Select to update the list of available IIS Web sites. Select this if you create a new IIS Web site while this dialog box is displayed.
IIS path Specify the name of the IIS path of your site. This name will appear in the URL path of your site.

  • To unpack an application to the root of the Web site, use the ‘/' character or leave this field blank.

  • Site Packager locates your applications in separate subfolders inside the IIS Web site you specify, and inside the physical folders your IIS Web site points to. It will name those subfolders with the virtual directory name you specify for each application. By default, these virtual directory names are the same as the application names.
