After you have considered your software requirements and installed the operation system software, install the prerequisite software as per the following procedure.
Before You Begin
You have considered your software requirements as per Software Requirements for an Enterprise Commerce Deployment and have all required software available.
During Commerce Server 2009 R2 software installation, the installation utility checks for presence of the following prerequisite software:

Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x64)
Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x86)

If any of the above software is missing, the following occurs based on the installation method you are using:
If you are using the Installation Wizard, the wizard displays a message indicating the missing software and provides a link to the appropriate download page. Proceed with the download and install the software. Launch the wizard again.
If you are performing a silent installation, the installation process aborts and an error message is logged. The log indicates the missing software and provides a link to the appropriate download page. Proceed with the download and install the software. Launch the silent installation again.
If you are performing an interactive installation, the application indicates the missing software and provides a link to the appropriate download page. Download and install the software. Use the “Refresh” button to start another scan. A application restart is not required.
