How To Specify the Channel and Catalog

Use the following procedure to configure the Channel Configuration feature for the Solution Storefront site.

To select the channel and catalog for the solution storefront site

  1. Open a browser and go to the business user site for the Solution Storefront.

  2. On the Solution Storefront site home page, click Site Actions, and then click Site Settings.

  3. On the Site Settings page, click Channel Configuration in the left navigation pane (under Lists).

  4. On the Channel Configuration > Configuration View page, click Channel Configuration.

  5. In the Channel Configuration - Channel Configuration dialog box, click Edit Item.

  6. On the Edit tab:

    1. In the Channel section, select the channel that you want to use for the Solution Storefront from the drop down list (for example, Default).

    2. In the Catalogs section, select a catalog for the Solution Storefront site (for example, the Adventure Works Catalog).

    3. Click Save.

  7. Close all connections to the Solution Storefront site.

  8. Reset IIS by using the IISReset command.

  9. Return to the Solution Storefront site home page and verify that the site displays the Web Parts and correct catalog details.
