Install Windows PowerShell on the directory sync computer

Windows PowerShell is an interactive command-line scripting technology that enables administrators to more efficiently automate the administration of Windows and applications. When you install Windows PowerShell to use with Active Directory synchronization, your installation method is determined by the version of the operating system installed on your directory synchronization computer.
If you are running:
Windows Server 2003, or Windows Server 2003 R2: You must download and install the Windows Management Framework.
Windows Server 2008
: You can install Windows PowerShell from the Server Manager as described in the following procedure.
Log on to the directory synchronization computer running Windows Server 2008, click Start, and then click Server Manager.
In Server Manager, click Features, and then click Add Features.
In the Features list, select Windows PowerShell, click Next, and then click Install.
