While adding a file to the project in Solution Explorer, the operation failed. There are many possible reasons for this error. You can try any of the following remedial actions:

  • Try the operation again.
  • Make sure there is sufficient disk space to write the new file. Consider using the Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter options on the System Tools menu of your operating system.
  • Close the Solution, restart Visual Studio, and try again.
  • Restart your computer and try again.
