How to: View the Status of a Notification Services Instance (SQL Server Management Studio)

Using the Instance Properties dialog box, you can view the status of application components, subscriber management, and Microsoft Windows services. The following procedure shows how to view status in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

To view status

  1. In Object Explorer, expand the Notification Services node.

  2. Right-click the instance and then select Properties.

  3. To view the status of an application's components, do the following:

    1. In the Instance Properties dialog box, click Applications in the left pane.
    2. In the Application box, select the application.
    3. In the Components box, look at the Status column.
  4. To view the status of subscribers to the instance of Notification Services, click Subscribers in the left pane.

  5. To view the status of all of the instance's Windows services, click Windows Services in the left pane.

    When viewing the Windows services status, click a service to view the status of the components that run on that service.
