Configuring the SQL Server Environment for RDA
To exchange data with SQL Server, you must first install the software components required for use with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition (SQL Server Compact Edition). For more information, see Installing a Server Environment.
After you install the necessary components, you must configure SQL Server with the appropriate permissions before any data can be exchanged between SQL Server and SQL Server Compact Edition.
Steps to Configure SQLÂ Server for RDA
- Grant access to the SQL Server database based on how Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and SQL Server authentication are configured. For more information, see Granting Access to a SQL Server Database.
