How to: Delete an Operator (SQL Server Management Studio)

This topic describes how to remove an operator so they no longer receive Microsoft SQL Server Agent alert notifications.
To delete an operator
In Object Explorer, connect to an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine, and then expand that instance.
Expand SQL Server Agent.
Expand Operators, right-click an operator, and then click Delete.
If you want another operator to receive the alerts and jobs sent to the deleted operator, check Reassign to and select an operator in the list.
