How to: Delete a Server Alias (SQL Server Configuration Manager)

Use SQL Server Configuration Manager to delete an alias for an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine.

To delete a network library configuration

  1. In SQL Server Configuration Manager, expand SQL Native Client Configuration, and then click Aliases.

  2. In the details pane, right-click the alias that you want to delete, and then click Delete.
