ServerConnection Constructor (String)

Initializes a new instance of the ServerConnection class with the specified server instance.

Parameters

  • serverInstance
    A String value that specifies the name of the instance of the server with which the connection is established.

Remarks

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework.

'Connect to a remote instance of SQL Server.

'The strServer string variable contains the name of a remote instance of SQL Server.
srv = New Server(strServer)
'The actual connection is made when a property is retrieved.
