Simon May I’ve just joined Microsoft as the new IT Pro evangelist on the block and I’ll be specialising in our client side technologies, looking at deployment and productivity, two areas that fascinate me more than they probably should. Obviously client doesn’t work in isolation so I’ll be into our server tech and cloud stuff too. Previously I’ve worked for banks, healthcare and energy companies doing everything from 36 hour virus outbreak responses (good job I like coffee) to keeping mission critical servers running with my bare hands and not forgetting packaging apps back in the days of SMS 1.2! When I’m not displaying my SMS installer ninja-skillz (!) I’ll be found renovating houses, falling off snowboards, taking photos and tweaking Windows Media Centers.
