Database Engine Architect InfoCenter

In Microsoft SQL Server 2005, a Database Engine architect works in conjunction with application architects and system architects to design a data storage infrastructure that will support the processing requirements of the enterprise. The Database Engine architect decides the technology used for the data storage systems, and coordinates the interactions and interoperability between data-driven systems and Web sites within the enterprise. The Database Engine architect is a solution-level decision maker who provides vision and scope to data-driven projects, and has job titles such as Data Architect or Database Architect.

To help an architect be as effective as possible, the following lists provide links to the topics considered most useful in understanding how to use the different versions of the Database Engine to meet all of the levels of data storage across an enterprise.
