How to: Remove an Integration Services Project from a Solution

This procedure describes how to remove an Integration Services project from a solution. Removal disassociates a project from a solution, but does not delete the physical file.

You can only remove a project from a solution when the solution is visible in Business Intelligence Development Studio. When you first create an SSIS project, Business Intelligence Development Studio does not list the solution in Solution Explorer. When you add additional projects, SSIS projects or other types of business intelligence projects, Business Intelligence Development Studio exposes the solution and lists all the projects that the solution contains. Once the solution is visible, you can remove all but one project. As soon as only one project remains, Business Intelligence Development Studio no longer displays the solution folder and you cannot remove the last project.

To remove an Integration Services project

  1. In Business Intelligence Development Studio, open the solution from which you want to remove an Integration Services project.

  2. In Solution Explorer, right-click the project, and then click Exclude From Project..

  3. Click OK to confirm the removal.
