Dynamic Memory in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

Rate:

About This Video
Dynamic Memory is a new feature in Hyper-V that helps you use memory more efficiently on your Hyper-V hosts. Memory is now treated as a shared resource and you no longer have to decide how much memory to give your workloads. Dynamic Memory automatically adjusts the current memory needed for workloads based on demand and the settings you specify.

In this short screencast I'll talk about what Dynamic Memory is and how it works and show you it in action on my demo system.

If you are looking to upgrade your Hyper-V hosts to SP1 make sure you check out the Hyper-V Dynamic Memory Configuration Guide.
