Josh Pointer talks about Empowering the User with SCCM 2012 Beta 2
After the second MMS Keynote, Principal Group Program Manager Josh Pointer sat down with Symon to review some of the announcements about System Center Configuration Manager 2012. With the Beta 2 having just become available, Josh talked about how this release would give enterprises greater flexibility with how they deploy, configure and manage virtually any device, with major investments being made in the mobile space. SCCM 2012 can deliver apps via the cloud, application virtualization or desktop virtualization through a updated GUI, offering a more consistent user experience with the rest of the System Center products. Josh also discusses how a new self-service portal better enables the end-user, a simplified infrastructure reduces costs across the datacenter and added support of Linux and UNIX servers consolidates administrative efforts.
