2008 Daylight Saving Changes

NZ Daylight Saving ends on April 6th 2008, and begins again on 28th September 2008:

Due to law changes introduced in 2007, this year daylight saving ends later at 3am on April 6th 2008, and begins earlier at 2am on Sunday 28th September 2008. Important Considerations:

The definition of the New Zealand time zone differs between Windows Vista and down-level Windows OSes (such as Windows XP). Windows Vista has the ability to automatically switch timezones, while other Windows OSes require a patch to enforce the new timezone. Please click here for more information.

Time Zone Changes

In April 2007 the New Zealand Government announced an update to the Time Act of 1974. This update changes the dates of both the start and end of daylight saving time (DST). When this law goes into effect in 2007, daylight savings time will start one week earlier (2:00 A.M. on the 30th September 2007) and will end two weeks later (3:00 A.M. on 6th April 2008) than past years.
