Event Review: Moving to the Managed Desktop Environment Part 2 (Session ITPROHOT-14)

Welcome to the material supporting page for this session. The materials on this page have been selected as the best matches to the content covered in the live event session.

Session Outline

In part five, we return to the standardized desktop image we created in the previous session, and apply it consistently to the internal client computers at Contoso. We examine the resulting benefits of the standardized desktop image, including a reduction in the number of deployed operating systems, simplified support, and access to a wider range of features that take advantage of newer technologies. See how to implement an update management solution that ensures all client computers are kept up-to-date. We also show how to prepare Contoso's infrastructure for its next operating system upgrade using the XImage disk imaging tool.
