Session Outline

In this session, we will provide an introduction to WDS. As WDS is the newest deployment solution, you may wonder, what are the benefits of using it over the previous solutions? We will go into the benefits of WDS and observe how WDS takes advantage of the Windows Imaging, or WIM, file format. WDS is made up of several components to form a unified deployment solution. We will explore each of these components to see how they interact. The management component of WDS is simplified to provide an easy solution for administrators and we will show how using the simplified management with WDS will allow companies to reap these benefits.
