Future Hype? Bob Seidensticker and the 'Myths of Technology Change'
We are stepping back a bit this week to the 'big picture' as we speak with Bob Seidensticker, author of Future Hype: The Myths of Technology Change. Bob was recently on campus presenting to our research group so we took the opportunity to speak with him about his book and how his thesis should affect an IT Pros world. Bob is not a luddite, having spent much time in the technology world including some years spent within Microsoft. But Bob asserts that today's achievements are not unprecedented as we tend to believe and argues that we can't control the impact of technology unless we know how it changes. Also this week Anthony Tsim is going to talk with us about the virtual labs, our online environments where you can test out the products without any installation or configuration hassles.
