Modify a Job

Applies To: Windows HPC Server 2008

In HPC Cluster Manager, you can modify the properties of jobs in the job queue. To modify a job or a task, you must have administrative rights or be the submitting user.

Guidelines for modifying jobs and tasks:

  • For jobs in the Queued state, all properties can be changed.

  • For jobs in the Running state, only the following properties can be changed:

    • Run time (dd:hh:mm)

    • Run until canceled

    • Project name

  • Jobs in the Canceled and Failed states can be modified, and then requeued.

  • You cannot modify a Finished job. To run a job again, either as-is, or with changes, see Copy a Job or Task.

  • Tasks can be added to active jobs (in the Configuring, Queued, or Running state).

For information about using HPC Cluster Manager, see Overview of HPC Cluster Manager.
