Application Compatibility: Step 4

Deploy compatibility mitigation packages with core application deployment or after core application deployment.
After you identify the fixes and workarounds for incompatible applications (in your mitigation packages), you must develop methods and processes for deploying your mitigation packages. Deployment of mitigation packages is essential to ensure that business applications continue to function and that business groups have minimal downtime during the rollout of a new operating system.
During this step you need to:
- Determine whether you want to incorporate your mitigation packages into the core application deployment or deploy your mitigation packages after core application deployment.
- Select the appropriate method for deploying your mitigation packages.
The Solution Accelerator for BDD gives prescriptive guidance for deploying application compatibility fixes. It also details the tools and technologies that you can use to deploy the fixes across your infrastructure so that you can choose the solution that best fits your organization.
