Lync Basic 2013 is a Windows desktop client for Lync Server 2013 and Lync Online. It is provided at no charge, and provides a subset of the Lync functionality found in the Lync 2013 client licensed in the Office Pro Plus 2013. Lync Basic 2013 delivers the core IM, presence, Lync Meeting, and voice experience but does not include Skill Search, recording, note sharing, multi-view video, or advanced voice features and may not be used in VDI scenarios.
